Bollywood thriller 'Raaz 3' copies Arabic song

'Deewana Kar Raha Hai' is inspired by Arabic song 'Ana Law Azeto'

There's a perfect mix of romance and horror in Bollywood's thriller 'Raaz 3' starring Emraan Hashmi, Esha Gupta and Bipasha Basu.

But the filmmaker, in order to create a potboiler, has also mixed songs... or rather, copied one.

The first song of the movie is released and it reminds us of an Arabic song sung by Egyptian singer Mohamed Hamaki.

The tune of 'Deewana Kar Raha Hai' is 'inspired' by Arabic number titled 'Ana Law Azeto' (If I had hurt her).

The song is sung by Javed Ali and is a romantic number featuring Esha Gupta and Emraan Hashmi and unlike other Bhatt camp songs, this one is completely forgettable.

The picturisation of a budding romance between the two as well as the tune of the song are oh-so-familiar that they just fail to leave a mark.

The music has been composed by Jeet Gannguli and Rashid Khan.

Raaz 3' revolves around a film director (Emraan Hashmi) caught between two superstars (Bipasha and Esha Gupta). In the film, Bipasha gets so jealous of Esha's success that she resorts to black magic to get rid of her. Emraan, who loves Esha, will do anything to save her.

Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt, who had depicted his affair with Sushmita Sen in Ankahee (2006), will now portray his relationship with actor Ameesha Patel in his next film, Raaz 3. Buzz is that he has based Bipasha Basu’s character on Ameesha, who he split from in 2008.

Listen to the two songs to compare:

Listen to Raaz 3 song at least twice to get the sense of the tune.

(You might again want to listen the Hindi version again.)

Arabic version Ana Law Azeto is far better than Hindi version in terms of emotion, depth & sensation. Hindi version can send to be better only by melody.

Originals are always better. If Bollywood copies other country songs they should give them acknowledgement as well as asking their permission.
