Bollywood actor Salman Khan who is riding high on back-to-back hits, once again becomes the brand ambassador of Thums Up cola drinks.

Salman ousted none other than the 'Khiladi' Akshay Kumar as the face of this drink in India.

In April, Coca-Cola dropped actor Akshay Kumar for Thums Up, ending almost a decade-old association with the actor.

Incidentally Salman was brand ambassador for Thums Up till 2003. One might remember Salman's Thums Up advertisement with actor Sunil Shetty where both the actors were seen fighting over a bottle of the cola. This time, it will be more like a homecoming of the victor.

Till March this year, Salman had been endorsing rival PepsiCo's fizzy lime drink Mountain Dew. But the 46-year-old actor is now back to the Coca-Cola camp.

Reports suggest Salman Khan will endorse Thums Up in a deal that is estimated at Rs 18 crore for two years.

The current deal size is significantly higher than what Coca-Cola paid cricketer Sachin Tendulkar when it signed him for brand Coke.

Early last year, the beverage maker had signed Tendulkar for a 3-year association estimated at close to Rs 12 crore.

Coca-Cola also signed an agreement with Salman's charity, Being Human - The Salman Khan Foundation, to jointly promote, conceive and execute charitable and social activities.

Salman’s career graph which had shown an inspiring steep growth with blockbusters movies like 'Wanted', 'Ready' 'Dabbang', 'Bodyguard', and 'Ek Tha Tiger' has been ably supported by his endorsement charts.

After smoldering rest of the Khans in the industry he has also ousted the ‘Khiladi’ Kumar.
