Sushmita Sen escaped a major wardrobe malfunction at the Indian International Jewellery Week.
Sushmita was walking the ramp for a jewellery brand when her dress which was slit got stuck in her heel.
One step more and it would have been on every MMS doing the rounds.
Sushmita in a very dignified manner called her mother over on stage.
Her mother then helped her remove it and Sushmita hugged her before carrying on walking the ramp.
Sushmita put on a dignified front as well.
"Whenever I get a chance to walk the ramp, it takes me back a good 18 years, when I started walking the ramp. I started my entertainment industry career on the ramp.
"I was not very successful when I started and. I walked the ramp now because I liked the jewellery.
"I felt like a queen when I wore it and started walking the ramp. But it is about the human connection. The beautiful dress then got stuck, But, that's life. You know it cannot be perfect. There are times when things get stuck like that.
"The one thing that you can choose is it that this is not going to spoil the show for you. You will go back and start again. I think the ramp has taught me that," says the actress.
Sushmita seems to have evolved so much that she even philosophises.
"We do make a lot of mistakes in life, but what is more important is how we manage to handle it better,” she says.
