When actor Saif Ali Khan had enough fun fooling media about his impending marriage with Kareeena Kapoor his mother and veteran actress Sharmila Tagore comes out to confirm that her son will marry Kareena in October.
She also gave away details about the wedding venue. It will now apparently happen in two stages, with an actual ceremony in Delhi followed by a lavish celebrity affair in Mumbai.
She also said that though the ancestral home of Tiger Pataudi is under renovation the ceremony will not take place there.
The ceremony might not take place there but the Pataudi Palace will be avaible for the wedding guests as it is completely booked for the month of October.
Though there are quite a few rooms available for reservation at the Neemarana property in September, all the rooms have been sold out for the month of October, till the 22nd of the month, reports Daily Bhaskar.
This Neemarana accomodation is gerenally available for weekend getaways, but is fully booked for twenty two days in continuation.
So we have no room for doubts now that the wedding is taking place in October and in Delhi.
So what will be Saif's response to his mother's statement when he went about talking to different media houses in India and to each he gave different names of cities as his wedding venue.
He has been quoted saying the wedding is taking place in Maldives in December.
Soon the destination changed so also the wedding month. This time around it's Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, on the beaches of Copacabana!
That's the latest name the nawab is flinging at the media and he insists he is not joking and asking it to be printed.
Sharmila's statement has put Saif in a spot and we wonder if media will ever take Saif seriously.
Coming back to his wedding plans, Sharmila divulged that the marriage would be a very quiet affair in the presence of only immediate family members from both sides, reports MidDay.
Saba Ali Khan, Saif’s younger sister, who is a jewellery designer, has been made in-charge of the wedding ornaments and other preparations along with Sharmila.
