Donate or gift me a home in Dubai, says Bollywood's Katrina Kaif

As rumours swirl in Bollywood circles that Katrina Kaif is now engaged to co-star and rumoured beau, Ranbir Kapoor, the diva in question flew the coop from the heated topic and jetted into Dubai to fulfil her brand endorsement duties as the face of Nakshatra diamonds.

However, the Ranbir rumour mill was still very much at work, with Katrina herself fuelling the fire when she refused to divulge whether anyone has ever gifted her a diamond in her life.

Her response: “It’s a secret. I can’t share that with you. However, I am the sort who believes less is more. So if you ask me, my personal tastes run in understated jewellery.”

Ranbir, you had better be reading if you plan on popping out to nab that engagement ring anytime soon, if you haven’t already.

The rumour mill, of course, has been in overdrive ever since actress and Ranbir’s cousin, Kareena Kapoor, was quoted as saying that she is gearing up for a ‘RanKat’ wedding on director-producer Karan Johar’s TV show, ‘Koffee With Karan’.

The show is set to air in a few days.

While Katrina has yet to confirm a relationship with Ranbir, despite leaked pictures of the duo on a Spanish holiday this summer, the actress did stop to praise accolades on Dubai, which, incidentally, also happens to be one of the cities the couple were caught sharing an intimate meal in.

“I love this city; I have shot several films here in the past, including ‘Welcome’ and ‘Race’,” she stated. “Unfortunately, the past two years has limited my visits here. However, back then I loved hanging out at Mall of the Emirates.

“Plus, my mom loves the restaurant here, La Petit Maison, so I do bring her there when we get the chance.”

Quizzed whether her love for the city may see her follow in the footsteps of Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and invest in a home here, especially since Ranbir himself confirmed the news with Emirates 24|7 that his family is house hunting here too, and Katrina had a different take on it.

“I have a lot of sisters and my spare time is spent with them in London so if I do invest in a home, I would need it for family purposes,” she confessed, adding: “However, I am always open for a donation or a gift if anyone is interested. I particularly like Dubai Marina and The Palm island.”
