Reynolds hands Johansson the perfect Xmas gift

How wonderful when your ex hands you the Christmas gift you want!

Ryan Reynolds has just filed for divorce from Scarlett Johansson, according to reports.

And in a sign that the pair co-ordinated court filings, Johansson filed her reply to the petition at the same time.

Neither party is asking for spousal support, although Seacrest reportedly made more money than Scarlett during their two-year marriage.

There is also no prenuptial agreement in place, but since everything they earned is community property, presumably it will be divided 50/50, though the petitions say property rights are yet to be determined.

Reynolds lists the date of separation as December 14, 2010, which Johansson agrees to.

Although the divorce is friendly, they aren't taking any chances.  Reynolds has hired hotshot lawyer Laura Wasser, and Johansson has retained Lynn Soodik.

Assault charges dropped against Lindsay

The chemical dependency technician who claimed Lindsay Lohan assaulted her earlier this month will drop her criminal charges and will not co-operate with authorities.

Dawn Holland, who claimed earlier this week how Lohan ripped a phone from her hand causing a severe sprain, now says the actress should not be prosecuted.

Holland's lawyer, Keith Davidson, tells TMZ, "Dawn will not continue to press charges against Lindsay, nor will she be assisting any further in the investigation or prosecution."

The website asked how Holland would respond if subpoenaed, and Davidson reportedly said, "She won't."

Davidson says Holland and Lohan share a common bond -- they're both recovering addicts, Holland does not want "in any way shape or form to do anything that would violated Lindsay's probation or cause an arrest."

He added: "A crime has quite simply not been committed by Ms. Lohan."

Lovato settles with punch victim

Demi Lovato has reportedly reached a financial settlement with the female dancer she punched in the face on a private jet back in October, according to US media.

Under the settlement, Alex Welch will get money, though the amount is confidential.

Welch's attorney, Donald Karpel, tells TMZ, "The parties are satisfied and the dispute has been resolved amicably and completely."

As previously reported, Lovato decked Welch with such force that the backup dancer had visible bruising on her left eye and cheek. Lovato went to a treatment centre shortly after the incident and claimed she felt "awful" about her behaviour.

Meanwhile, TMZ reported that Demi Lovato has been given a wonderful Christmas present -- she will be allowed to enjoy a Christmas dinner with her family outside the treatment centre.

She is to return to the centre after dinner to continue with her programme.

Stallone offered $1m to referee Smith v Wahlberg match

Damon Feldman, CEO of the Hollywood Boxing Federation,is reaching out to Sylverster Stallone, reports 411mania.com.

Feldman is offering Stallone $1 million to referee a boxing match, featuring Will Smith vs. Mark Wahlberg. Feldman is hoping to put the fight together in an effort to raise $3 million for charity. He had the following to say about the offer to Stallone…

"I think he would be the perfect candidate and this would be the icing on the cake."

Each actor will also get $1m for a charity of their choice.

Unlike many fighters the Hollywood Boxing Federation has showcased, both Smith and Wahlberg have been trained by professionals. But, also unlike many fighters the Hollywood Boxing Federation has showcased, both Smith and Wahlberg still have careers.

Under Feldman's proposal, Wahlberg and Smith would fight three one-minute rounds. Regulation amateur boxing rounds are normally three minutes long.

If the two -- who have shown no signs of accepting the offer -- get into the ring, it certainly would be a coup for Hollywood Boxing Federation, which normally snags C-listers. Previous competitors include Jose Canseco, Tonya Harding and Rodney King.

"It would be a great event, too," Feldman said. "Can you imagine?"
