Details are still being hashed out Aamir Khan is planning a biopic.

The film which is being pegged as a big budget extravaganza will also see a lot of other actors, and is not being co-produced by UTV.The film is in the advanced stages of research, following which the pre-production of the film will begin.

Aamir and UTV are still brainstorming on who the director will be.

Aamir enjoys a fruitful relationship with UTV. Coincidentally, the CEO of UTV is none other than Vidya Balan's new husband and Bollywood's other SRK - Siddharth Roy Kapur.

UTV had earlier produced the Aamir Khan-starrer ‘Rang De Basanti’ and then made films like ‘Dhobi Ghat’, ‘Peepli Live’ and then ‘Delhi Belly’ with Aamir Khan as the co-producer.

But this film will have Aamir Khan in the lead role as well.

Aamir is currently doing work for two Chopras as they play producer to him.

First he will work for Aditya Chopra and then he will work for Vidhu Vinod Chopra.

The perfectionist Khan is in the middle of shooting for his film ‘Dhoom 3’ with director Vijay Krishna Acharya and then he will be shooting for another film called PK directed by Raj Kumar Hirani.
