Jiah Khan fell for the wrong guy, says mom after actress' suicide

A week after Bollywood starlet Jiah Khan’s untimely death, her mother has chosen to break her silence.

The family has denied media reports that the budding actress was ‘depressed’ because of work. They have also denied that there were traces of alcohol and anti-depressant pills in Jiah’s stomach, reports ToI.

Her sister said that Jiah was a hopeless romantic and that work only came second for her.

Her mother is quoted by the paper as saying that Jiah “fell for the wrong guy”. “Deception and lies from the only one she loved the most…she could not stand lies.”

She was not happy in her relationship with Suraj Pancholi, said her sisters and added that their mother was against Aditya Pancholi family’s presence at Jiah’s funeral.

Her sister said that the day she committed suicide, she had told her that she had bagged a movie and wanted to surprise their mother with the news.

Her family believes Suraj knows more about the reason why she ended her life. However, they are not planning to take any action against him as of now as the mother was quoted as saying, “nothing will make a difference".

A condolence meeting is scheduled on Saturday evening in Mumbai.
