Sunny Leone topples Katrina, Aishwarya Rai from the top spot

Within a year of being in the celebrity circuit the adult star-turned-Bollywood actress has done what most actresses couldn't for years - topple Aishwarya Rai from the being on top.

Sunny Leone was searched online on Google 3.5 crore times in December 2012, making her the most searched Bollywood celebrity in the world.

Katrina Kaif who is now regarded as one of the top heroines of Bollywood was only searched for 1.6 crore times.

And new mummy Aishwarya Rai takes the third spot with 1.1 crore searches.

Ever since shifting base to India and Bollywood, Sunny Leone has consistently found a place in most popularity polls. It's no surprise then, that the adult star is currently the most searched Bollywood celebrity in the world.

Salman Khan is the only male star in the top 5.

With his box-office prowess, his charisma and his power to captivate the masses, Salman has successfully captured the imagination of the lowest common denominator.

Sunny Leone, whose popularity is growing with leaps and bounds, started her career with Pooja Bhatt’s ‘Jism 2’ and is currently busy shooting for Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Ragini MMS 2’.

And we hear reports stating that Sunny will feature in her first ever Bollywood item number in Sanjay Gupta's 'Shootout At Wadala'.

The rehearsals of the dance sequence are already underway and the item number is being choreographed by Ahmed Khan.

Sunny will be seen in a typical Indian costume for the first time on screen surrounded by over 50 male dancers.

After the temperature soaring performance in 'Jism 2' we guess this item number will only add few more million fans to the already existing ones.
