Done with Shah Rukh, Rohit Shetty moves back to Ajay Devgn

The 'Golmaal' fame director Rohit Shetty has finally completed the action rom-com, 'Chennai Express' featuring superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in a completely new avatar in his forthcoming action comedy flick.

After attending a special screening of the Rohit Shetty directed movie, noted critic Taran Adarsh revealed that Shah Rukh Khan comes across as a complete departure from the romantic films that he is known for.

Popular journalist and self-confessed movie-geek Rajeev Masand saw the trailer and tweetted, "Deepika Padukone is particularly hilarious in the Chennai Express trailer. She's in full Hema Malini mode. That girl is on a roll!"

Trailer of the movie, which also features Deepika Padukone, will be out on June 13.

So now that the movie is complete and is in its promotional phrase Rohit Shetty moves on to do his next project with actor Ajay Devgn.

The maverick director is gearing up for his next venture already. It is learnt that Rohit will be teaming up with Ajay again for the sequel to their earlier hit film 'Singham'.

Though reports have always said that a sequel to the film was on the cards, it's finally been confirmed that the duo will be making the film.

Further we learn that while part one of the film was a remake, the sequel will be an original concept with a new story line.

Though Ajay has been roped in for the film, the lead actress is yet to be finalised, while the film itself will need another five months in the scripting stage and will go on floors somewhere next year.

The hit pair of Rohit and Ajay has given 8 super hit movies like the 'Golmaal' series, 'Bol Bachchan', 'Zameen', 'Singham' and 'Singham 2' will be their ninth movie in the offing.
