Dose of comedy for Dubai residents - 'Hasi ke Rang'

'Natakwale', a Dubai based independent theatre company, in collaboration with 'The Junction', plans to promote 'happiness' by bringing on stage their commercial production, 'Hasi ke Rang' (Shades of Laughter).

'Natakwale' believes that comedy is a lot more than mere laughter. So the venture aims at showcasing a wide variety of comedy like mad comedy, black comedy, horror comedy, silent comedy, slapstick comedy etc.

'Mahabharat – Ek Cheerharan', a P.I.P (a play in the play) will be their maiden show. It is a mad comedy based on a mythological story.

Every character in the play has different caricatured behaviour and is a crazy combination of the actor himself and the mythological character that he is playing.

'Ae Maa...' is a story of three friends out of which one's mother had recently passed away. With a crispy script, their situational acts are bound to bring out a few smiles and crack some laughter.

However, the play mainly underlines the contrast between the thoughts and deeds of humans with different tendencies.

The shows will be performed at 'The Junction, Dubai' on May 19, 20 and 21 and the tickets will go on sale very soon.

After making a big bang at 'Short + Sweet' theatre festival by being the only group performing a play in regional language and also by being honoured by performing at 'Sikka' art festival this year, 'Natakwale' is now all set give the audience of Dubai a dose of comedy.
