Salman Khan frenzy has Dubai fans firmly in its grip, as celeb spotters have positioned themselves across remote parts of the emirate, ready to tweet an update on the actor’s whereabouts as he shoots for his upcoming film this week.

‘Mental’s’ shoot is fast turning into a star-studded affair in Dubai, with actors Tabu, Daisy Shah, Ashmit Patel and Vatsal Seth, all joining Khan for an alleged car chase action sequence, along with a Bollywood song and dance routine.

Also accompanying Khan is younger brother, Sohail.

Before you wonder any further, Emirates 24|7 got hold of the shoot schedule details, with Khan first spotted last evening at the Saif Belhasa Driving Institute for a scene.

Self proclaimed Khan fan and ‘spy’ Fayaz took to Twitter to confirm the same, uploading an amateur video of the actor’s shoot at Belhasa.

On Thursday and possibly Friday, the superstar is expected to film at the Wonderland Theme and Water Park in Al Garhoud.

Group buying site Yallabanana.com has also been marketing discounted tickets for Dh35 to enter the amusement park for March 1 and 2, with the catch being a chance to catch the actor live.

The online ad simply reads: ‘Family fun day out at Wonderland; plus watch megastar Salman Khan shoot his new movie’.

More shooting updates will follow, with the actor also expected to film a sequence in a local mall.

Chances are, the shoot could possibly take place in Iconic or Splash, good friend Raza Beig’s two fashion outlets where Khan’s ‘Being Human’ merchandising is retailed and more recently, for which the actor even made a surprise appearance and ramp walk at the company’s recently concluded fashion show last week.

The Sohail Khan produced ‘Mental’ is also expected to feature Naseerudin Shah in a pivotal role.

While not much is being said about the film’s story line, speculation is rife the action-packed starrer will be a remake of the Telugu hit, ‘Stalin’.

Rumour has it that Tabu has been roped in to play Salman’s elder sister.
