Bigg Boss 8: Can Karishma Tanna do a Gauhar Khan?

Bigg Boss, the Indian reality TV show, has always managed to keep audience at the edge of their seats with its action-packed episodes where desperate actors vie with one another to revive their career.

Each season has had characters that were hoity-toity, mischief makers, lovers, cry-babies… et al. And Season 8 is no different. One individual who has made a name (for all the wrong reasons, of course) for herself is Karishma Tanna.

Although the first week in the house was calm, it was the proverbial lull before the storm as Karishma thundered soon after.

And what with Bigg Boss playing the mischief maker. One of the tasks required contestants to put chili powder and paste on their fellow inmates.

As Karishma graciously obliged and applied it on Gautam Gulati, the chili was unbearable for him and he hurled abuses at her. Grabbing the opportunity, Karishma began whining stating that she had been verbally assaulted on national television and began her lecture on how unfairly women are treated.

Gautam did apologize a couple of times but her banter never ceased.

And that was not to be the only incident. She has had feuds with other woman in the house like Minissha Lamba. In a recent episode, Gautam asked Karishma, why was she so self-centered, to which Karishma promptly replied that it was nature to think of oneself first.

Well, her attitude and values remind us of last season’s Gauhar Khan, whom Karishma has been often compared to.

And considering Gauhar was the winner, should we be seeing a pattern here?
