Over-the-top drama, heated arguments and entertainment has been the USP for the past six seasons of show Bigg Boss, which is one of the most popular reality shows on Indian television.
Many heart breaks and many romances blossom in this house where celebrities are ‘jailed’ for about three months every season.
However, as residents get evicted on a weekly basis, the newly-formed love often get nipped at the bud. Here's a list of a few love tales from all the six sessions.
Veena Malik and Ashmit Patel: Topping the chart as most popular pair of Bigg Boss are Veena Malik and Bollywood actor Ashmit Patel. When Veena stepped into the house in Bigg Boss Season 4, Ashmit caught her attention. The two openly displayed their affection and became lovebirds on national television. Their public display of affection was closely scrutinised by the viewers but both Ashmit and Veena pushed the envelope a little too far. The censor board had to step in and raise objection of the programme's content.
Anupama Varma and Aryan Vaid: This couple particiated in Bigg Boss Season 1. Aryan Vaid was head over heels in love with model Anupama Varma, who seemed to be having a gala time with the attention showered on her. Mr India 2000, Aryan, won over the model. But their love story ended in the same season.
Payal Rohatgi and Rahul Mahajan: Inspired by the audience' attention over 'the Aryan and Anupama episode', Rahul Mahajan tried the same gimmick in Seasson 2. Model and actress Payal Rohatgi caught his fancy. Mahajan, who had a messy divorce before entering Bigg Boss didn't show any remorse about his personal crisis. His flirting skills also made it difficult for viewers to believe that he was recently divorced.
Shonali Nagrani and Siddharth Bharadwaj: Funky yet simple short love story was that of Miss India International Shonali Nagrani and VJ Siddharth Bharadwaj in Season 5.
Rajev Paul and Sana Khan: In the ongoing Season 6, TV star Rajev Paul is seen flirting openly with the pretty Sana Khan. This is the couple to watch till they get evicted.
Karishma Kotak and Kashif Qureshi: The second pair that seemed to be steaming up this season was Kashif Qureshi, a martial arts expert along with Karishma Kotak. Kashif tried his best to get close to Karishma but all his attempts seemed to fail as she was not impressed by his attitude.
