The star quotient at the 10-day  Abu Dhabi Film Festival, which kicks off tomorrow, just got a much-needed boost with Clive Owen scheduled to walk the red carpet tomorrow for Opening Night.

Joining him will be Oscar-winner Adrien Brody, who will also be in attendance on day two for the world premiere of his film, "Wrecked".

Other confirmed celebrity includes French actor Gerard Depardieu, who was confirmed by the festival's executive director, Peter Scarlet.

An inside source also confirmed with Emirates 247.com that "Slumdog Millionaire" star Frieda Pinto will also be in Abu Dhabi next Thursday for the screening of her film, Miral, at Emirates Palace.

While this pretty much sums up the international celebs who will be heading down to Abu Dhabi this year, a contingent of stars from Arab cinema will delight regional fans.

Opening night alone will see Mona Zaki, Khaled Abol Naga, Yosra, Bassma, Lebleba, Ahmed Helmy and Ghada Adel, to name but few.

Unlike every year, the 2010 installment of the annual film festival has very few Bollywood stars who will be in attendance. Unless some surprise names are pulled out of a hat, fans will have to make do with Irrfan Khan and Mahie Gill for their movie, "Paan Singh Tomar".

Here's hope the festival does add a few more top brass names or celebrity spotters may be highly disappointed this year.
