He’s called King Khan, for a reason.

Shah Rukh Khan was his charming best while entertaining a select group of his fans at last night’s dinner date in the Atlantis.

Whether it was swaying to the beats of his oh-so-popular dance number ‘Lungi Dance’, or obliging the many requests for hugs and kisses, or even mouthing famous lines from his movies, SRK ensured that no one returned home unhappy.

He patiently listened to every request and played out every demand obediently, while flashing his deep dimples.

“You can ask me to do anything… sing, dance…whatever. I will entertain you because that’s what I do best,” he gleefully announced.

And, the requests just kept pouring in, as his female fans squealed and shrieked each time he as much as twitched a facial muscle.

Organised by Western Union, the night was a “dream come true” for many SRK fans, some who even left work early to dress up for the dinner date.

“Do not leave office for any other man, except me. No man, apart from me, is worth it,” he quipped.

“And, do go to work tomorrow, with eyes glazed with love for me.”

Another fan reminded him of the fun aftereffects of her previous meeting with the star. “The last time you shook hands with me, half of Karachi wanted to shake hands with me,” she gushed. “Will you shake hands with me again?”

To which, SRK insisted, “You know what, I’ll get half of Karachi to kiss you the next time.” And, promptly hugged and kissed her.

The actor who was late for the event, apologised profusely, and claimed he has been working long hours for his friend Farah Khan’s movie ‘Happy New Year’ and was sleep deprived.

But that didn’t stop him from entertaining his guests.

Apart from stepping aside to fulfill the numerous photo requests, SRK himself was entertained to a dance show of his famous songs and welcomed on a stage decked in ‘Chennai Express’-style, complete with elaborately dressed South-Indian dancers and ushers.

After indulging his fans for a couple of hours, the star stepped away only to leave behind a bunch of happy faces.

Judging by the smiles and giggles, it truly was a night that his fans would cherish forever.
