Kareena Kapoor launches 'Heroine' music amidst chaos

Filmmaker resorts to new marketing strategy by launching music in a shrine

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor visits Hindu shrine Siddhivinayak in Central Mumbai along with director Madhur Bhandarkar to launch the music of 'Heroine'.

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar tweeted: "Offering prayers to siddhivinayak temple & launch the music of #Heroine in the divine prescence of Ganeshji".

The launch took place amidst chaos at a shrine.

Extensive promotions of their upcoming films have become part of every actor’s life.

They leave no stone unturned to promote their movie and with each new movie the makers try to think out of the box marketing startegy to gain more publicity.

This time Kareena and Bhandarkar sought divine intervention for their movie by releasing the music in a religious place.

The actress and the director not only launched their music and offered prayers but also distributed music CDs to the huge crowd gathered in the shrine.

The launch turned out to be chaotic as fans and media persons, who had gathered in large numbers, jostled for space at the heavily-guarded shrine which is crowded on any given day.

This reflected a lack of coordination between shrine authorities and police.

The organisers could not hold any interaction with the media at the venue due to the chaos.

Dressed in a yellow salwar kameez, Kapoor thanked everyone who had come for the event.

Arjun Rampal, Randeep Hooda, Shahana Goswami and Divya Dutta stars in 'Heroine' along with Kareena Kapoor.

The film is slated to be release on September 21.
