Ranbir Kapoor and 'Barfi' director team up for another blockbuster

Post 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani's' grand success, there is no doubt that actor Ranbir Kapoor's is cementing his place to superstardom. After 'Barfi', director Anurag Kashyap will come together with Ranbir for the second time for 'Jaaga Jasoos'.

In 'Jaaga Jasoos', Ranbir will play the role of a detective for the first time. This news was confirmed at the special screening of 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' where RK junior said, "Yes after 'Barfi!', 'Jagga Jasoos' is mine and Anurag's second film together. It's a detective flick." The news is also that this 'Badtameez' boy is not just acting but also producing the film.

However, we will have to wait awhile as the shooting is to start next year considering Ranbir's packed schedule which includes Abhinav Kashyap's film 'Besharam', Anurag Kashyap's 'Bombay Velvet' and then he is going to reunite with 'Rockstar's' director Imtiaz Ali about which we have had no news lately. He is going to be the next Kishore Kumar onscreen in Anurag Basu's biopic on the singer's life. However, even this dream has been put on hold, as rumours are that Shoojit Sircar has shown interest in the same project.

The busy bee was also supposed to shoot for 'Roy' directed by a newcomer and produced by Bushan Kumar where he will play a con artist but there is no news on that as well. If 'Roy' works out the irony is he would be playing a con artist in one film and detective in another. Now this is what we call versatility.
