Ileana D'Cruz considering legal action against Amitabh Bachchan film?

Riding high on the success of ‘Rustom’ this past few weeks, Bollywood actress Ileana D’Cruz appears to have landed down to earth with a thud.

The young actress is reportedly quite miffed with the makers of the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer, ‘Aankhen 2’, for confirming her presence in the film without her consent.

The situation has aggravated so much so that the actress is reportedly even considering legal action against the film’s producers.

Things came to head last week at the film’s announcement event, which featured Bachchan and actor Arshad Warsi, along with producer Gaurang Doshi. The latter reportedly announcing D’Cruz’s affiliation with his upcoming movie, along with featuring a showreel of the actress to confirm her signing on the project.

According to reports, D’Cruz appeared shocked at the turn of events, as she had never given her consent to be a part of the thriller.

In a move to shut down all doubt, D’Cruz even took to her official Twitter account to confirm the same, saying: “For all those asking, I have not signed ‘Aankhen 2’.”

The film, which also stars Anil Kapoor and Arjun Rampal in the lead, is considered a plum project and producer Doshi is not one to take any legal threats quietly.

He spoke to Indian media, stating the makers had held several meetings with the actress, who had verbally confirmed her association with the project.

Doshi further added that the film doesn’t need someone like D’Cruz when it has names such as Bachchan and Kapoor added to its star cast.

One wonders if D’Cruz is making a wise choice at such an early stage of her career.
