'Jurassic World' unintentionally hurts Pakistani audience

'Jurassic World' is on track for the largest-ever second weekend performance with $29 million on Friday for a total $103 million weekend, according to early estimates, possibly outdoing 'The Avengers' previous record of $103.05 million.

But the movie has also kicked up a racial row after it featured dinosaurs named Pachycephalosaurus.

Pronounced (pak-ee-sef-a-low-sor-us), the creature is a real species of dinosaur which lived during the late Cretaceous period, 76-65 million years ago.

A character at one point abbreviate the name and shouts: 'The Pachys are out of containment!'.

A short of the lengthy name rather than the outdated and offensive racist epithet used to describe people from Pakistan. It's Pachy not Paki.

But Phonetically this sounds like a wildly racist slur, and it has left some viewers squirming uncomfortably in their seats.

The damage was done and British Asian comedian Guzzy Bear has called for a 'boycott' of the film in a hilarious video uploaded to YouTube.

Hundreds have also taken to Twitter in mock fury to question whether they were the only one who noticed the subtle mention of 'head butting, stoned, out of control P**is'.

Hamza Azam ‏said: 'Did anyone else hear 'these p**is are getting out of control' in jurassic world? Turns out theres an actual dinousar called pachysaurus.'

Humaira Ashraf said: 'Was it just me or did a guy Jurassic World start talking about 'stoned p**is out of containment'

Aysha said: 'I can't believe they've called a dinosaur 'pakisarus' in Jurassic World!! The p**is are out of containment!!'

Many could not believe the line actually made it into the final script of the blockbuster, which stars Chris Pratt.

Some have pointed out that the slur has a history of only really being used in the UK and Jurassic World's screenplay was penned entirely by Americans.
