Kareena Kapoor tries to win over the Bachchans

Not too long ago, two of Bollywood’s illustrious film families parted ways over a broken engagement.

They were the Kapoors and the Bachchans, who didn’t meet eye-to-eye after Karisma Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan abruptly ended their romance.

The two went on to marry others, but the ‘enmity’ never subsided. This was clearly evident after the two families didn’t even reunite on-screen.

But that animosity appears to be a thing of the past now.

And, it’s Kareena who is credited with playing the peacemaker.

According to the Daily Bhaskar, the Kapoor girl has been bonding with Amitabh Bachchan on the set of ‘Satyagraha’ where the two will be seen sharing screen space.

Apart from the visible camaraderie that was spotted on the set, the senior Bachchan even blogged about the younger Kapoor, recalling a few scenes from a film set he had shared with her father Randhir Kapoor.

“During an action sequence, I was hitting her father. She in her innocence had run on to the set in the outdoors and clung to her father to protect him from this 'evil' man who was beating him up. In tears and most worried, she was relentless and very disturbed,” wrote Big B.

“She soiled her pretty little feet in the sand and in order to settle her down I had asked for some water and washed her tiny feet clean. She still remembers that moment!!”

That’s not all, Kareena is even trying to win over Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

In fact, the same publication has reported about how the Kapoor lass is taking style cues from Ash.

Despite being a fashionista and penning a book on all things fashion, Kareena now appears to take fashion tips from her seniors.

At a recent public outing, she dressed up much like Ash’s mirror image.

Wearing a white Manish Malhotra saree, clunky kundan jewels and hair tied in a tight bun with flowers, she evidently looked like a copy of Ash at the brand endorsement of a South Indian jewellery brand.

Guess, she is adamant that her efforts at brokering peace between the warring families doesn’t go unnoticed.
