Ranveer not as lucky as Ranbir Kapoor, misses out on Madhuri Dixit

There was a time when filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali was enamored by dancing diva Madhuri Dixit.

So when the rumours of Madhuri appearing for an item number with Ranveer Singh in Bhansali's 'Ram Leela' surfaced no one was surprised.

But then Sanjay Leela Bhansali is not the sort who likes to follow trends and now it is heard that the rumour is utter hogwash.

Media reports quoted a source from within the film unit that there's no scope of such a number in 'Ram Leela'.

It is also reported that Bhansali is not keen on repeating the Madhuri-younger hero format in an item song.

Madhuri was recently seen gyrating to 'Ghagra' with much younger Ranbir Kapoor in 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani'

While we all know how US-returned Madhuri Dixit is all set to make a comeback with the film 'Gulab Gang' this year, audiences were particularly amused by her item number in Ayan Mukherjee's film.

'Ghagra' featured the 46-year-old actress in the opening sequence of the Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone starrer 'Yeh Jawaani Hain Deewani'.

Apparently, Ranbir is besotted with Madhuri and he cajoled his director Ayan Mukerji to let him kiss her on cheeks while she was shooting an item number.

Looks like Ranveer is not going to get as lucky as Ranbir when it comes to matching steps with Madhuri Dixit.

However, Deepika Padukone, the lead actress of ‘Ram Leela’, will perform a dazzling garba (Gujarati dance form) in the movie.
