Salman Khan hikes his price to host Bigg Boss 10

Salman Khan seems to have found a way to better his pay. Remember that we told you that Salman Khan was not keen on hosting the next season of Bigg Boss after hosting Bigg Boss 9 and this would be his last show as host.

But then now we realize that Khan has now hiked his price to Rs10 crore per episode of Bigg Boss 10 and the channel in question has agreed to raise the bar.

It can also be recalled that Khan was not even performing at the awards event held by the channel recently and made a statement that it was result of him not hosting the next season. Now we realize that Khan’s statement was an act perhaps to remind them to sign him up for the next season.

 “Trust me, this is the last time you will see me hosting the show. I am very serious now about not continuing on the show. I will be taking a break next season,” Salman had said then.

The channel taking cognizance of Salman’s statement upped the budget per episode by a whopping 30 per cent. And Salman’s management team fees that he cannot let this offer go.

Maybe Salman seriously doesn’t want to do the show. But then monetary needs obviously overrule some thoughts. Actors like Amitabh Bachchan earlier had hiked their price whenever they never wanted to do a film. A case in example is the sadly made film Lal Badshah. Bachchan was drawing around 1 crore plus per film in the 90s. KC Bokadia paid Rs 4 crore Bachchan then and the film co starring Manisha Koirala and Shilpa Shetty was a terrible disaster. But Bokadia got Bachhcan that way.

And Bigg Boss 10 will thus get Bollywood’s ruling monarch Salman to host their flagship show. With Shah Rukh Khan not doing well as a host of a show and the current heartthrob Ranveer Singh now not keen on hosting shows on the small screen, it was but imperative that they go back to the effervescent and funny Salman as the host. But that’s a price they felt they could pay.
