'Ek Tha Tiger' is due to be released on August 15 and the promotional events are all lined up.

But the lead actor Salman Khan has refused to promote the movie without his leading lady Katrina Kaif.

Now Katrina along with Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra is scheduled to leave for Chicago and start shoot on August 4 for 'Dhoom 3'.

Salman is not taking a no for an answer and he wants Katrina to be with him while promoting 'Ek Tha Tiger'.

Yash Raj Films, makers of both 'Ek Tha Tiger' and 'Dhoom 3', had no option but to relent to the star's demands and allow Katrina to join the Chicago schedule of 'Dhoom 3' only after August 15, reports Mumbai Mirror.

It is important for the leading lady to promote the movie and Katrina could have easily finished her bit of work in advance and left for Chicago.

Many a time heroines with their packed schedule have to juggle between promotional events and other shooting time tables.

Salman had earlier allowed Kareena to skip 'Bodyguard' events and finish her 'RA.One' schedules.

Wonder why Salman is being cautious about 'Ek Tha Tiger' and not letting his guards down.

The movie will have the benefit of national holiday on its release day, August 15, being the Indian Independence day. It will also have the advantage of Eid holidays and the weekend.

And every year Salman enjoys heavy influx of movie goers during Eid.

So why is he keeping Katrina tied up for all the promotional events?

Certainly he does not doubt his own crowding pulling capacity but guess the actor must have realised the fan base 'Chikni Chameli' a.k.a Katrina now enjoys.
