Salman Khan's 'Ek Tha Tiger' strikes similar chords with SRK's 'Don'

The first trailer of Salman Khan's 'Ek Tha Tiger' has striking similarities with the initial promo clip of Saif Ali Khan's 'Agent Vinod'.

However, the brand Salman is likely to transform 'Ek Tha Tiger' into a unique experience. Salman is undoubtedly the best-selling point of the movie which spins around the spy agencies of India and Pakistan.

Salman firing guns, jumping from great heights, fighting ruthlessly and ultimately, walking away with an intense look on his face is a treat for his fans. The actor's fan base is huge and no one will want to miss Salman 'Tiger' Khan when the film releases during Eid in the middle of August.

But, when Team Emirates 24|7 heard the background score used in the first trailer released last week, a sense of déjà vu prevailed. Fast-forward the YouTube trailer clip (below) to 1:06 till 1:24 seconds and listen carefully to the notes and rhythm of the score.

The background score is strikingly similar to the title track of Shah Rukh Khan's 'Don' which was used in the film to announce his grand slow-motion entry in the film.

The tune is not an exact copy but it is similar enough to remind the viewers of Shah Rukh Khan, while watching a Salman Khan movie.

Wonder what the exact intention of music composers, producer and director were while approving the score and using it for the very first promotional material. Surely, Salman is not paying tribute to his former best buddy Shah Rukh Khan and fellow actor Saif Ali Khan in 'Ek Tha TIger'.

Salman's fans will agree that his popularity as a star is good enough and he does not need to court any (more?) controversies to attract filmgoers to watch his films.

Hear it again to spot the striking similarity:
