Akshay Kumar decided to give a witty answer to all the critics who did not like him getting the National Film Award for the Best Actor for his 2016 release Rustom.

The head of the jury Priyadarshan has worked with Akshay for many years in many films and hence he was accused of nepotism while choosing the winner. Many Bollywood celebrities sided with Akshay for getting the award, but there were many film the film and the media world who did not agree to the decision.

Akshay was present at a recent event to help stuntmen in Bollywood get proper insurance and here he chose to reply to our query.

“I have been in the film industry for many years and I have seen in the past 25 years that when someone gets any award, there is someone else who has a problem. Someone gets up and says that this guy should not have got the award and that person should have. There is always a controversy that is created over the person getting the award,” he quips.

And then he has answer for the critics. “I have got an award after 26 years of working here. And if you think I should not get the award, here come and take it,” he guffaws in his trademark style.

So, is anyone willing to yank the trophy from the khiladi once he gets it i hand?
