Freida Pinto bares all for her first love scene

Freida Pinto is back into the limelight, thanks to her fantasy epic drama Immortals where she gets to share screen space with ‘Superman’ Henry Cavill. The actress, who plays a priestess named Phaedra, has also shot for an intimate scene, The Times of India reporter.

Freida is no more a shy girl, and like a professional she shot for the steamy scene. Now, since the first promo of Immortals is out, the viewers can also catch a glimpse of Freida’s bold act. In one scene, she is seen posing backless standing in front of Henry Cavill and then she drops her top.

Earlier, it was reported that Freida was nervous doing the intimate scene; lights were switched off on the sets and only the important crew members were allowed in. But later, director Tarsem Singh told a UK tabloid that Pinto was a sport and despite so many people around, she enacted the sex scenes pretty well. There were reportedly around only 80 people watching her and 20 of them with video cameras.

Freida plays a very challenging role in the film. She is an oracle priestess who can see the future, but only if she remains a virgin. Therein lays her dilemma. Her ability helps the hero Theseus, played by Henry Cavill, to fight for humanity, but it also prevents her from being the fully realized woman she wants to be.

Kangna wants Aamir

A new director who wants to make his Bollywood debut approached Kangna Ranaut for his film Chalo Driver (working title) Kangna met the director, loved the script and agreed to revert to him after reading it, according to apunkachoice.com.

However, she told the newbie director that she would prefer to work with Aamir Khan on this film. When the director informed her that he had no access to Aamir, Kangna took the onus of "getting him Aamir." Our source says, "Kangna apparently called Aamir, who informed her to leave the script with his office saying his script reading department would read it and then get back to her."

Everyone who knows Aamir well, is aware that right now the actor is committed to Reema Kagti's suspense thriller; from January 2012 he has Aditya Chopra's Dhoom-3. So obviously whoever else comes to him will have wait their turn.

Remember Aamir and Kangna were to team up in Ghajini earlier? Kangna was in Jiah Khan's role. However, she was unceremoniously dropped because some news on the film was leaked to the media, and the finger of suspicion pointed to her. Will she get lucky the second time around?

Ram Gopal Varma drops Raveena

When Ram Gopal Varma saw Raveena on the sets of Bbuddah...Hoga Tera Baap, he was swept off his feet by her bedazzling beauty. He didn't think twice to offer her the role of a sexy middle-aged wife to Sanjay Dutt in Department, according to apunkachoice.com.

Soon, on realising that her stunning-ness would be wasted in the film, he dropped her from the cast. Ramu has now written a comedy for Raveena specially.

Says a source, "Ramu met Raveena on the sets of Puri Jagannath's Bbuddah. His jaw dropped when he saw how hot she looked. He immediately offered her the role in Department. But then he realised he wanted to work with her on a bigger project. He is now working with her in Lucille Ball kind of comedy."

Ramu admits he has pulled Raveena out of Department. He says, "I narrated a role to Raveena. But now when the script of Department has come to its final stage the role has not shaped up the way I narrated it to her.

There's no point in her doing such a tiny role which might not be there in the final cut. Yes, I am doing another film with her."

Significantly Raveena recently turned down the role of Ranbir Kapoor's mother in Prakash Jha's Raajneeti and we appreciate the intelligent step. "It isn't me who doesn't want to do mother roles. It's producers who think I shouldn't," laughs Raveena who went to great lengths to lose loads of weight after her two children were born.

Abhishek acting funny with Aishwarya

You could say Abhishek Bachchan is acting funny with wife Aishwarya - that's because the couple are starring in their first comedy together called Ladies And Gentlemen.

"I was very keen to do a comedy after a spate of more serious films and also Aishwarya and I haven't done a comedy together, so I'm excited about this film," Abhishek said in an e-mail interview from Murmansk, Russia.

To be produced and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the film is slated for a 2012 release and is set to go on the floors in the first week of July this year.

"It's a great script, very funny and Raj-ji is directing it. We've been very keen to work together for a long time. I'm very happy that we will be finally working together," he said.

In the film, Abhishek plays a guy with an insatiable roving eye and Aishwarya sportingly allows her husband to do so.

When asked to give more details, the 35-year-old said, "It wouldn't be correct to speak about the film at this juncture."

In the last two years, he has only worked in serious movies like Paa, Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey and Dum Maaro Dum.

Abhishek and Aishwarya, who tied the knot in 2007, teamed up for the first time on screen for the 2001 movie Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke. Three years later Rohan Sippy roped them in for his directorial debut Kuch Naa Kaho and then J.P. Dutta made Umrao Jaan (2006) with the two - all these films didn't do well.

Their first big hit as a couple was Mani Ratnam's Guru (2007), followed by Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar Raj.

In Sanjay Gadhvi's hit action thriller Dhoom 2, they shared the screen, but not as a couple. Aishwarya also made a special appearance in the hit song Kajrare in the Abhishek starrer Bunty Aur Babli.

They were last seen on screen in Raavan, which was declared a dud.

Abhishek, whose Game bombed at the box office, is elated with the positive response to Dum Maaro Dum.

"I haven't had the time to sit down and reflect on the film. But I think youth have really connected with it. I always said Rohan has always made very cool films. The script by Shridhar and an all-round great team performance I think has worked for the film," he added.

Dum Maaro Dum also starred Bipasha Basu, Prateik Babbar and Rana Daggubati among others.

Abhishek, who is currently shooting in Russia for Abbas-Mustan's Players, which again has Bipasha, also came clean on allegations that he was not happy with the climax of Dum Maaro Dum and wanted to get it changed.

"Nothing like that. Rohan has always been kind enough to involve me in the entire creative process of his films. I had suggestions. Some he used and some he didn't. It's all part of the process of making a film," he said.
