Why men hate but ladies love Shah Rukh Khan

While Shah Rukh Khan may be sidelined by his male peers, with his one-time-best-bud Salman Khan refusing to talk to him and rifts between Hrithik Roshan and Arjun Rampal surfacing on-and-off, he is reveling in some good female company.

Whether it is the gorgeous ‘Jab Tak Hain Jaan’ co-star Katrina Kaif or the suave ‘Chennai Express’ leading lady Deepika Padukone, SRK is never seen without his female army.

We caught a glimpse of this growing female attention at the opening of the IPL in India, where warring actresses Kat and Deeps, swayed to SRK’s tunes without kicking up a fuss.

Although the women refused to bond, they obediently stood on either side of SRK and danced the night away.

Deepika, who made her Bollywood debut alongside SRK in ‘Om Shanti Om’, has developed a great fondness for the superstar. And the fact that they are working on ‘Chennai Express’ is only the icing on the cake.

From posting images of SRK-bonding on twitter, to announcing her love for the man during media interviews, Deeps is leaving no stone unturned.

“I will do what SRK wants me to do,” she announced to the Indian media.

Apparently, it is this adulation that could’ve prompted her to stomach her differences with Katrina and perform with her at the IPL ceremony.

In fact, after the show, Deepika stuck by SRK and gave back-to-back interviews with the superstar by his side.

She even shifted IPL allegiance this season, with the actress supporting SRK’s Kolkata Knightriders instead of her home-team Bangalore.

Following close behind is Katrina, who has taken a genuine interest in playing ‘best friend’ to SRK.

Considering she’s still fond of her ex-beau Salman, who can’t see eye-to-eye with SRK, this new friendship has been under constant media scrutiny.

Ever since they paired up for the Yash Raj romance, the two have developed a close bond.

They even joined forces for two Bollywood concerts, and there’s even talks of two hooking up for the much-talked about ‘Happy New Year’.

Interestingly, it was at her birthday that SRK and Salman had fought.

Apart from Kat, there’s also on-and-off best bud Farah Khan, who is using every media outing to proclaim her love for SRK.

After working in blockbusters like ‘Main Hoon Na’ (2004) and ‘Om Shanti Om’ (2007), Farah is extremely excited about working with SRK in ‘Happy New Year’.

“It’s going to be the biggest movie of our careers in terms of scale and production. We will be working together after a very long time. I’m really looking forward to it,” she told the Indian media.

Farah and SRK friendship had greatly suffered after she decided to cast Akshay Kumar instead of him in her box-office bomb ‘Tees Maar Khan’.

It was only a slap later that SRK and Farah patched up, and ever since then the two have been inseparable.

With so much female attention, one wonders if Gauri or his rumoured girlfriend Priyanka Chopra are feeling a bit left out.
