Inside Russian billionaire's son's insane $1 billion wedding

Said Gutseriev, 28, and Khadija Uzhakhovs, 20, tied the knot in Moscow last weekend and it was a wedding to remember.

It was extravagant, to say the least. The lavish reception was held at luxury Moscow restaurant and banqueting venue Safisa with entertainment provided by Jennifer Lopez, Sting and Enrique Iglesias.

The young bride arrived in a beaded gown with a billowing skirt by Elie Saab and was imported from Paris.

The $1 billion celebration saw the bride wear a designer gown worth $25,000.

The gown reportedly weighed nearly 13 kg because of the huge train and heavy embellishment and the bride needed the assistance of several people to carry her train and help her walk upstairs.

Khadija's look was completed with diamond tiara and whopping diamond pendant around her neck. She was also pictured in a change of outfit, as she posed with guests in an embellished satin dress with delicate mesh sleeves with her hair tied back.

Guests travelled to the grand nuptials in a fleet of luxury cars including Rolls Royces and Bentleys.

Lopez performed her hits 'If You Had My Love', 'Dance Again' and 'Get Right' and went through several outfit changes.

Enrique took to the stage to perform 'Bailando', casually dressed in jeans, a T shirt and baseball cap.

Sting also performed and was joined by a group of young girls and women for his song 'Desert Rose'.

French singer Patricia Kaas serenaded the guests and the Georgian national folk dance ensemble Sukhishvili also made an appearance.

Images from inside the lavish affair swept Instagram, with photographs showing the venue dripping with flowers from floor to ceiling.

Said's father, Russian entrepreneur Mikhael Gutseriev, has a net worth is about $6.2 billion, according to Forbes. Though the exact cost of the festivities is unknown, it's safe to say the event didn't come cheap.

The groom's father personally welcomed the couple's 600 guests to the wedding party which included the president of Ingushetia.

The wedding cake was a lavish nine-tier creation, decorated with elaborate white icing and layers of pink floral garlands. It was topped by the star and crescent of Islam to symbolise the couple's faith.

And as if last weekend's nuptials weren't extravagant enough, reports suggest Russia's most extravagant wedding celebration of the year will relocate to London this weekend.

Beyoncé and Elton John are also due to sing at the second installment of the grandiose wedding, according to Russian media reports.

Fireworks were let off at the end of the evening to celebrate the happy couple's union.
