Video: Volcanic Lava in Dubai... a hot hit

In our second part of the more bizarre beauty treatments available in the emirate, we present the Volcanic Lava Mask.

The key ingredient in this facial is volcanic, ‘magnetically charged’ mud, that is claimed to be brought in from the coastlines of Hawaii.

The treatment claims to help anyone with distressed skin by removing impurities, excess oil,  tightening and encouraging cell renewal by unclogging pores and removing dead cells.

The treatment itself is straightforward with a cleaning process, then exfoliation, followed by the application of the mask.

At a cost of Dh1,800 this treatment is pricier than most and so, thankfully for believers, recommended once a month.

Users claim an instant skin lightening, tightening and glowing effect after the 45 minute treatment.

The drawback is a redness that comes on some parts of the face for a very short time.

How it works?

Scooped from the coastlines of Hawaii, the Lava Mask claims to cleanse impurities, remove excess oil, tighten the skin, encourage cell renewal and regenerate facial skin by unclogging pores and removing dead skin cells from the surface of the skin.

Ingredients

Contains the following mineral oxides: magnesium, calcium, potassium, dolomite, silica, manganese, phosphorus, silicon, copper and selenium.
Needless to say, our videos only seek to report on the treatments and inform you of what is out there. So should you choose to try any of these, be sure to make your own inquiries – medical and cosmetic.
