6-day baby bathed with boiling water

An African woman is facing charges of attempted murder in Saudi Arabia for bathing her six-day daughter with boiling water, inflicting severe burns on her body.

The prosecutor in the Western Red Sea port of Jeddah charged the woman of deliberately pouring hot water on her baby, a few days after her husband was deported from the Gulf kingdom.

Police arrested the woman after doctors reported that the baby was in serious condition in the intensive care unit suffering from first-grade burns on various parts of her body.
