Afghan teenager ends life in Saudi mosque

A 14-year-old Afghan boy committed a suicide by hanging himself inside a toilet at a mosque in Saudi Arabia and police said they were investigating his motives.

The boy was found hanging with a piece of cloth tied around his neck at the mosque in the Western town of Makka, ‘Okaz’ newspaper said.
It said forensic examination showed the boy had committed a suicide and that no criminal act was involved in the incident.

Police car flees after killing cyclist on road
 
A Saudi traffic police car killed a local man after knocking him down while he was riding his motorcycle before it fled the scene.

Newspapers said the unnamed man suffered from serious injuries in the accident on the road in the southern Saudi town of Abha and died just before arrival in hospital.

“Eye witnesses said the police car fled the scene after the accident. Sources said the accident triggered high-level police investigation,” ‘Okaz’ daily said.
