100 lashes each for illicit lovers

Sharjah Shariah Court has awarded a housemaid and her boyfriend 100 lashes each for committing adultery.

NM, a Filipina housemaid, and SM, a Bangladeshi, will be deported after serving one year in jail, reported Gulf News.

According to court papers, NM brought her boyfriend to her sponsor's house each time the family was not at home.

Both of them have confessed to the crime.
