The Department of Traffic and Patrols of Abu Dhabi Police has held 600 vehicles for one month, fine of Dh2,000 and 12 black points on the offenders of the traffic rules.
The offenders were booked during the celebrations of UAE's 41st national day anniversary from December 1- 3 across the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Brigadier Hussein Ahmed Al Harethi, Director of the Department of Traffic and Patrols said some motorists in the processions, especially at the corniche Abu Dhabi behaved recklessly as they violated the traffic regulations.
Brigadier Al Harethi said that the total number of traffic offences recorded in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Western Region 7,603.
Some of the traffic offences included spray painting of vehicles, extra external mountings on the vehicle, extra speakers, colouring of the windshield and throwing waste on the road.
