2 KG kids fall out of moving van in Sharjah

Two kindergarten children and a bus conductor were injured when the door of their school van opened suddenly and they were thrown out of the moving vehicle.

The incident occured in Sharjah's Kalba area on Wednesday afternoon and all three injured were quickly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police officials who arrived at the accident scene immediately notified the families of the injured people. The kids received minor injuries and were released from  hospital after receiving treatment. However, the conductor's injuries were more serious and he had to be admitted in the hospital.

The accident occured as the door of the vehicle had not been closed properly and it opened suddenly when the vehicle was taking a turn at a roundabout in the eastern region of Sharjah.

According to police officials involved in the investigation, the accident occurred because the door had not been closed properly.

Police officials cautioned drivers to lock the passenger doors of their vehicles before they started moving, especially if they had children riding at the back.
