Ajman Municipality will waive off 30 per cent of the fines accrued on commercial licences provided violators make a single payment of the total fines in cash before December 31.
Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Director-General of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department issued a decree reducing the fines and violations of the commercial licences by 30 per cent, which came into effect on October 5 and will be vallid until December 31.
The decree stresses that fines be paid in cash before the cut-off date.
Yahiya Ibrahim Al Reyaysa, Director-General of the Department, said this decision will help attract more investors to the emirate.
The legislation also clarifies that no facility can renew its licence or complete other transactions if they have pending fines. The discount offer will not entertain payments in installments, he added.
