Customs inspectors in the eastern oasis town of Al Ain arrested eight Asian men who tried to enter the country illegally by hiding in a box carried by a van.
The inspectors at the Khatm Al Shakla border point had suspected the van and asked its Asian driver to stop for inspection.
“They found the eight men hiding inside a big box and all of them had no ID papers…they arrested them and the driver and referred them to the competent authorities,” Emarat Alyoum daily said.
