Adnoc Distribution has announced the re-opening of Al Dar service station on Al Ittihad Road on the Sharjah-Dubai road.

The refurbished facility is the first to become operational under a transfer of assets agreement signed with Enoc last year.

Sheikh Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of H.H. the Ruler of Sharjah's Office, officiated the opening ceremony in the presence of Abdulla Salem Al Dhaheri, CEO of Adnoc Distribution, as well as senior officials from the company and high profile guests from the Emirate of Sharjah.

The refurbishment works included branding aspects and overhaul of the external and internal design to reflect the company’s identity. Apart from eight fuel dispensers, the facility has been fitted out with conveniences such as the Adnoc Oasis, bakery, and fast food outlets.

Abdulla Salem Al Dhaheri, CEO of Adnoc Distribution, said, "We at Adnoc Distribution would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his patronage and continuous support that helped us achieve this milestone. Adnoc Distribution is committed to providing world-class services and facilities to our customers that complement the UAE’s and the Emirate of Sharjah state-of-the-art infrastructure, and gives the country a clear competitive edge."

"We are glad to officially open the Al Dar service station, which is the first to become operational as part of the transfer of assets agreement signed with Enoc last year in accordance with our wise leadership’s vision and direction to fulfil customer needs wherever they are in the UAE. The re-opening is anticipated to reduce the pressure on Adnoc Distribution’s network of service stations in Sharjah and the neighbouring emirates, particularly Dubai. We would like also to express our deep appreciation to Enoc for the seamless transfer of their non-operational service station facilities in Sharjah. The agreement validates the excellent coordination and synergy shared by the two stakeholders on all the levels."

Al Dhaheri added, "We are currently working to finalise the re-opening of the 24 remaining service stations in a phased manner after conducting the overhauling and maintenance works, as well as the health, environment, safety and IT checks. As per the agreement, we are confident that the transfer of all 25 non-operational service station facilities in Sharjah to Adnoc Distribution’s network will be completed by the beginning of 2016. Spread across various locations, the service stations will serve our strategy to provide holistic services while remaining easily accessible to our patrons across the UAE."

Adnoc Distribution is currently witnessing rapid growth across the UAE. Following the Emarat acquisition and asset transfer agreement signed with Enoc, the company has increased the overall number of its service stations across the UAE to 386.

In the Emirate of Sharjah, Adnoc Distribution currently runs 31 service stations. These are in addition to the 29 service stations acquired from Emarat and 25 service stations transferred from Enoc.

Adnoc Distribution is also gearing up to inaugurate three newly built service stations in Sharjah in the areas of Al Seyouh, Al Badie and Sharjah Corniche. Additionally, seven more service stations are currently in the design phase.
