A Jordanian manager allegedly kidnapped and raped a Kazakhstani manager in her flat, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

AAA, 34 is accused by the prosecution of attacking EA, 26, in her building by holding her hands and putting a sharp tool to her back and pushing her towards her flat. He beat her until she fell unconscious and then raped her thrice. He also stole some stuff from her flat and ran away leaving her with 2 per cent permanent disability.

He is accused of stealing sunglasses, laptop, modem, 3 massage devices, 2 hairdryers, a Nokia mobile and an iPhone and 21 false eyelashes.

The victim, a director, testified that she knew AAA via a chat website. “I admired his way of talking and decided to talk to him and he agreed. I gave him my mobile number and within a few minutes he called me. We spoke for about 2 minutes and was assured that I was the same woman who he was talking to in the chat.

"A few days later on March 14, he called me and asked me out for dinner. I agreed and we went to Marina Walk but he lost the way. Then I suggested that we can take our dinner in a hotel on Al Sufooh road. We had the dinner then we moved to another hotel by taxi where we have consumed alcohol. Then I wanted to go back home.

"We took a taxi to the building and it was about 3.30am. He asked me to let him go with me to my flat, but I refused. He insisted telling that he spent money on me… his face got changed and he started shouting at me… He held my hands to my back and put a sharp tool at my back which I thought was a knife. I got scared that he would kill me so I told him I have Dh200 and asked him to take the money. But he refused and insisted we go up to the flat as there might be more money there.

"I went up expecting my home-mates to be in. As I got into the flat, he held my hair and pushed me into the room… he started searching about for money and I started shouting, he punched me in my face and head several times asking me where is the money. I told him that there was money in my clothes in the wardrobe… he searched but did not find any. He held my head and hit it to the wall several times, undressed me and raped me thrice… I fell unconscious.

“He dragged me to the bathroom…put me in the bathtub and opened water then he put salt in the water and left the flat.

"After several attempts I could move out and went to the door but found it locked. I went to the balcony and asked for help. As police came, I fell unconscious and woke in a hospital bed,” she testified.

First Corporal Mohsen Ali testified that he was rushed to a building in Al Barsha and found the flat was locked. “We managed to open the door and the flat was in a big mess. The victim was lying on the bed with injuries and bruises, so we rushed her to the hospital.

"She testified that they went to two hotels where they had dinner and alcohol… the accused was asking her to drink alcohol but he was not drinking and then took her back home,” he testified.

“From the surveillance cameras at the hotels they went to, We found the number plate of the car he used. It was a rented car. He was staying in the Gardens and was arrested, testified policeman Mahmoud Ahmad.

The accused told the police that he has knew the victim via the internet. Then she agreed to go out with him and offered him sex for $500. He went with her to her flat at Al Barsha area. He had consensual sex with her, but she bit her tongue so he was outraged and beat her up with his hands and a TV wire."

He stole her stuff and her passport and ran away, according to the records.

Forensic reported that the victim had sexual intercourse but it was difficult to determine whether it was forced.

Criminal evidences reported the accused finger prints in the flat and DNA test showed his sperm were in the victim’s body and other traces of his DNA on a cigarette in the flat.

The accused did not attend the hearing and the court adjourned the case for verdict on December 26.
