Asian held for using woman's photo in ads

Abu Dhabi police arrested an Asian man on charges of using a woman’s photograph on a medical advertisement for a local clinic without her consent.

The man admitted that he had downloaded the woman’s photo from the internet and used it in an advertisement to promote a new machine for a local medical clinic.

He told the prosecutor that the clinic did not know that he had not obtained agreement from that woman to use her picture.

The prosecutor also charged the man of engaging in business without obtaining prior permission from the concerned authorities.
