Cabbie awaits student molestation verdict

A Pakistani taxi driver allegedly molested a 14-year-old British student in front of his house in Burj Khalifa after dropping him off from his school, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

The victim ALS testified that on September 20, he stopped a taxi after finishing school at 3.30pm, asking the driver to take him to his house in Burj Khalifa.

“On our way home, the driver put his hand on my shoulder and pulled me to him and then started talking but I did not understand what he was saying. On reaching the building, he stopped the vehicle and told me that friends in his country kiss each other and he kissed me on the cheeks. Then he told me that close friends in his country exchange kisses on the chin and he did the same to me. Then he said they kiss on the lips and he did it to me and tried for force his tongue into my mouth. Then he gave me his mobile number, asking me to call him whenever I needed a taxi. As I got out of the car and took a photo of the taxi’s number plate. I went up and told my father’s girlfriend about what happened,” he testified.

His 35-year-old father testified that, his British girlfriend sent him an SMS, asking him to call her urgently. “She told me when I called her that my son was molested. I rushed home and my son told me what the taxi driver did to him.

hough SFK, the accused, first admitted to the accusation, he later denied it in court. The case has been adjourned to December 26.
