Capital bans trucks during Ramadan rush hours

The Department of Traffic and Patrol at Abu Dhabi Police has announced it would ban trucks weighing two and half tons and above from entering into Abu Dhabi City in rush hours during the  Ramadan from 7:30am to 9:30am and from 1pm to 3pm respectively.

The move aims at easing traffic during Ramadan.

Meanwhile, the department has also amended the working hours at the customer service centres in Abu Dhabi, Western Region and Al Ain during Ramadan to begin from 8am to 6pm.

Col Khamis Ishaq Mohammed, director of the department called on motorists to observe the spiritual themes of Ramadan to ensure the traffic safety on all roads through adhering to the traffic rules.
