Car flips, Emirati cousins die

Two teenaged Emirati cousins were killed when one of them tried to overtake his brother on the road from Dubai to Sharjah, causing their car to fly in the air and hit the pavement, according to police.

Abdullah Ibrahim was driving his car with his cousin Hamad, when he suddenly pressed the accelerator and tried to overtake his elder brother’s car which was ahead of them on a busy road on Monday.

Abdullah was killed on the spot while Hamad died in hospital a few hours later.
