A Kuwaiti man and his wife were caught on camera stuffing worms inside a food item at a local cooperative society before filming the product and publicising it on U-Tube, a newspaper in the oil-rich Gulf emirate said on Sunday.

The co-op’s management and staff members were stunned when they watched the U-Tube film, which was seen by thousands of users in the emirate.

When they checked security cameras at the co-op, they found that the Kuwait couple who filmed the product themselves put the worms inside it.

“They discovered that the man and his wife bought the product, then took it outside before returning it to the shelf,” Alrai daily said.

“Police said the couple wanted to defame the co-op and the management…the husband was arrested while his wife has been summoned for questioning.”
