Dh1 million to just book a flat next to Dubai's latest icon

A million dirhams cheque was the token money sought to book an apartment in Emaar Properties latest project in Dubai Opera District, real estate brokers told Emirates 24/7.
 
“IL Primo is located next to Dubai Opera and the closest you could go to the Dubai Fountain. The soft launch of the project has taken place and those who wanted to book an apartment were asked to deposit a Dh1 million refundable cheque,” a real estate agent said.

 
The 77-storey tower consists of 119 four and five-bedroom apartments and is expected to be delivered in September 2020.
 
According to agents, prices range from Dh2,800 to Dh3,200 per square feet.

 
The developer has already launched three towers - The Address Residence Dubai Opera, Forte and Opera Grand - in the Opera District with Dubai Opera set to open in September 2016.
 
Emaar’s net profit rose by 17 per cent to Dh1.21 billion in the first quarter 2016 compared to Dh1.03 billion in the same period last year. It registered total sales of over Dh10.23 billion in the UAE in 2015, with a backlog of Dh25.81 billion that will be recognised over the next four to five years. Sales across various international markets in 2015 stood at Dh5.05 billion.
