The Dubai Government Media Office and Roads and Transport Authority of Dubai (RTA) signed on Monday a memorandum of understanding to promote mutual co-operation between the various departments of the two bodies.

Ahmed Abdullah Al Shaikh, Director-General, Government of Dubai Media Office and Managing Director of Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI) and Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman and Executive Director of RTA, signed the agreement at the RTA headquarters.

The officials confirmed that the MoU follows efforts of Dubai Government to constructively integrate various departments and local bodies, to ensure valuable and enhanced services to residents.

Ahmad Abdullah Al Sheikh hailed RTA’s services. He appreciated RTA’s endeavours and claimed it was one of the best in the world.

RTA’s outstanding achievements make it a model in the region and probably superior to its counterparts in the world, added Abdullah Al Sheikh.

Meanwhile, Mattar Al Tayer also appreciated the vital role played by Media Office and called it a strategic partner.

Al Tayer hoped this MoU will open up new horizons and both parties can make best use of sophisticated technical and human infrastructure available.
