DMI distributes 1,500 iftar packages

Teams of Emirates24|7, Al Bayan, and Emirate Al Youm gathered at Satwa bus station to distribute packages to workers living in and around Satwa.

Every evening workers gather at the square to collectively break the fast and perform the maghrib prayer.

More than 1,500 workers were estimated to be present on Sunday evening.

Three vans each containing 500 iftar packages lined up around 7pm to contribute to the iftar of the workers.

Employees brought along their children, who enthusiastically gave a helping hand in distributing the packages.

Comprising water, dates and fruits, the packages provided an addition to the biriyani meals that were prepared for workers.

The initiative forms part of the Corporate Social Responsibility scheme of DMI.
