DMI documentary on ‘Flashes of Thought’ to be telecast tonight at 22.30

Wamdhat min Fikr or ‘Flashes of Thought’, a documentary about the latest book with the same name of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has been created by the News Center at Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI).

The book is built on ideas and submissions of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum during the first Government Summit which was held in Dubai last February.

The documentary focuses on the ideas and proposals of His Highness which is the foundation for leadership and management and calls to look to the future and adopt positive energy in approaching issues of life.

Meanwhile, Ahmed Saeed Al Mansouri, Executive Director of Television and Radio at DMI, pointed out that the documentary  Wamdhat min Fikr will be telecast today.

He disclosed that the documentary which lasts 60 minutes will reflect the important experiences and the stands which His Highness details as well the ideas inspired from his book Wamdhat min Fikr (Flashes of Thought).

Al Mansouri revealed that the documentary is also based on the personal experiences which was observed and monitored from the impact of ideas and answers of His Highness to questions from citizens, residents and visitors.
Al Mansouri stressed that DMI is keen to adopt the visions and ideas and propositions of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum at all times.

DMI will telecast the documentary on June 3 at 22.30 UAE Time [18.30 GMT] on Dubai TV and Sama Dubai Channels.

 

Mohammed to attend Emirates Government Excellence Conference

 

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, will attend the Emirates Government Excellence Conference on Tuesday, June 4, at the JW Marriott Marquise.

Held for the first time in UAE under the auspicious patronage of His Highness, the conference will host government entities at Federal and Local levels to present and share their knowledge in the field of excellence. 

Attends Epsom Derby

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai attended the Epsom Derby on Sunday, June 2, accompanied by Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Sheikh Mohammed watched as Gregorian, owned by his wife, Princess Haya bint Al Hussain won the Diomed Stakes.

The 2400km race with purse of £250,000 saw the participation of 14 sturdy horses amongst which is Godolphin’s Dawn Approach.

Ruler Of The World, one of the five hoses participating for trainer Aidan O'Brien, won the Epsom Derby. 

 

Meets UAE President's Cup champions Al Ahli Club

 

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received on Sunday, June 2, at his Palace in Zabeel, the Al Ahli Club in Dubai and champions of President's Cup for Football for this season.

Present at the meeting were Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of Dubai Executive Council and Al-Ahli Sports Club and Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai.

Sheikh Mohammed congratulated the team on winning the coveted trophy, thanks to the concerted efforts of the players, coach and administrative and technical management, noting to the importance of playing as one team.

He also called on the players and the club to look ahead to the future as this achievement has become from the past and it should be a stimulus for more achievements and victories.

Sheikh Mohammed received the UAE President's Cup from Abdullah Saeed Al Naboodah named board chairman of Al Ahli Club Dubai and the team's captain.

He also received a number of cups, won by Al Ahli Team in various championships and tournaments, wishing them more successes to contribute in developing the UAE sports regionally and globally.

On the other hand, Sheikh Mohammed was briefed on a proposed master plan for the new stadium of Al Ahli Club and directed to prepare the required study for this vital project.

Among those who attended the meeting, Lt. General Musabah Rashid Al Fattan, Director of the Office of the Vice-President, Mohammed Juma Al Naboodah, Matar Mohammed Al Tayer, Deputy Chairman of Dubai Sports Council and Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, Director-General of the Department of Protocols and Hospitality in Dubai.
 

Offers condolences to Al Habbai family

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Sunday, June 2, offered condolences  on the death of Ahmad Al Habbai.

He expressed heartfelt sympathy with Abdullah, Mohammed and Ali, the sons of the deceased.

Al Habbai family expressed appreciation of Sheikh Mohammed's gesture, and prayed to God to protect the country's leadership.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid was accompanied by a number of senior officials to the Al Habbai family's house in Al Khawaneej area, Dubai.
