A British drug mule was arrested when luck ran out after getting out of Dubai International airport but collapsing while at the car parking area.
He had arrived on a flight on July 3 and was found lying unconcious at the parking around 4am, reports The National
When emergency services found him in a bad state of health, he was rushed to Dubai Hospital where X-rays revealed some suspicious materials in his stomach. After his stomach was flushed it was found that he carried 57 capsules containing 986.7 grammes of pure methamphetamine.
Now in the dock for drug smuggling, the 40-year-old man TN appeared before the Dubai Court of First Instance on Thursday and denied the charges.
However the prosecution said he had earlier confessed to trafficking and possessing drugs.
The court will pronounce its verdict on January 27.
