Dubai Canal: Jumeirah Beach Park to close until end of 2016

Due to ongoing development projects at Jumeirah Beach Park, Dubai Municipality has temporally canceled the ladies only day and all other activities on the beach.

Mohamed Abdul Rahman Al Awadi, Director of the Public Parks and Horticulture Department, said, "The closure of Jumeirah Park's beach is to ensure the smooth running of the water canal project and other developmental works starting from October 12, hence all beach activities and ladies only day will be cancelled."

Jumeirah Beach Park will still receive visitors until the end of December 2014, he added.

Both the park and the beach will reopen by the end of 2016 with a new look and added facilities.
